a) Over-all Responsibilities / General Function : Provides planning, leadership, organizing and control over all light vehicle transport, to provide the transport needs of the operation inside the mining area and outside on designated official business area, consistent to Company Rules, regulations, and policies, and in compliance to the land transportation regulations.
b) Key Responsibilities Supervises drivers for daily assignment of trips and routines. Serves as comptroller and responsible in the supervision, control of assigned service vehicles and respective drivers. Receives request and prepares trip tickets duly approved for vehicles going outside the premises, and the assigned drivers. Provides transportation vehicle for the company employees and visitors on official business. Coordinates with the Legal Department in the processing of documents pertaining to the registrations and insurance claims of the vehicles. Implements preventive maintenance schedule (PMS) to the assigned vehicles. Conducts spot checks of the conditions of assigned vehicles, tools, spare parts, first aid kits, and other related accessories and initiates reports for any corrective actions needed. Follows, complies, implements, executes and integrates in life and work all the environmental policies, laws, regulations and guidelines of the company. Prepares required reports and keeps records of pertinent documents and shall not disclose without proper authority. Supervises and monitors the daily trips of contracted buses to service company employees. Conducts monthly road worthiness inspection for contracted buses/jeep. Prepares and validates billings of contract transport buses. Drives vehicle safely during emergencies and when no other driver is available. Designates quality drivers such that performances must be up to standard to avoid unsafe acts and unsafe conditions. Responsible for the conduct of men (drivers), to initiate actions for any misconduct, or to initiate commendations for any actions that need to be recognized. Ensures that all Company safety, environment, risk management, securities policies, administrative rules and regulations, department standard operating procedures and guidelines are consistently implemented and carried out in his area of responsibility. ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT FUNCTION: Adhere to Environmental Management System Policy. Support the implementation of the Environmental Management System.
