Transport Business Unit Head

Responsibilities:
Direct activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking of transportation vehiclesPlan, organize, and manage subordinate members to ensure work is completed and consistent with the company's standards.Assess and recommend ideal shipping methods, routing or carriers to meet necessary parameters, specifications and costsProactively identify opportunities, implement cost-efficient measures and continuous improvement within the day-to-day operational activities, and to engage with the internal customers for feedback on opportunities to improve customer satisfactionAnalyze transportation costs and the delivery processProvide active assistance to meet schedules and resolve complex issues.Direct investigations to verify and resolve customer complaintsRequirements:
Bachelor's degree, Industrial Engineering or other Logistics related degree preferredAt least 5-6 years in Transportation, Trucking or Logistics industryA self-directed individual able to adapt quickly to changes in priorities and business conditions.Strong communication skills necessary to building working relationships and positively influence decision makingOrganizational and Time Management AbilitiesExperience with an SAP system and MS Office
