Tosca Test Automation Engineer

Details of the offer

Responsibilities:
• Review and assess the manual test cases created for the application under test and provide feedback on suitability for automation to the project team
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Tosca Testsuite for test automation or other equivalent functional testing tools in compliance with defined QA standards and methodologies
• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing automated test scripts as needed
• Review the work of team members to help ensure quality of the team's deliverables
• Help establish and configure testing environments for executing automated test cases and scenarios
• Execute automated test scripts in accordance with the agreed scope and schedule
• Monitor test results and report discrepancies using defect tracking tools
• Validate defect fixes
• Accurate and timely reporting of test progress, risks & issues in accordance with the project's risk and issue management plans
• Work with the application team to resolve any issues that arise out of the testing process
• Recommend improvements to existing policies / procedures and in matters relating to people, processes, and technology (e.g. through active participation in continuous improvement initiatives, quality teams, focus group discussions, root cause analyses, etc.) and then assisting in the implementation of improvements
• Assist with manual functional testing as needed; execute manual test cases and scripts for products under development using test management/tracking tools

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and where testing fits into the process
• Proven hands-on experience with Tosca Testsuite for test automation
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as VBScript or C#
• Knowledgeable on Tosca Framework (TBox, Classic, etc.)
• Hands on integration of Tosca with any Test Management tools like QTest
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility and willingness to learn new technologies and tools
• Willing to work in different time zones, if needed

Nice to Have:
• Tosca certification or other relevant certifications
• Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes
• Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager Integration and Tosca Orchestrated Service Virtualization (OSV) is a plus
• Experience with testing web applications, mobile applications, and APIs.
