Tilesetter

-Measuring: Measuring and marking the surface to be tiled
-Cutting: Cutting tiles to fit using wet saws, tile scribes, or handheld tile cutters
-Applying adhesive: Spreading mortar, mastic, glue, or other adhesive on the work surface
-Setting tiles: Placing tiles and applying pressure to affix them to the base
-Grouting: Packing grout into the joints between tiles and removing excess grout
-Removing and replacing: Removing and replacing cracked or damaged tiles
-Other responsibilities of a tile setter may include:
-Building underbeds
-Installing anchor bolts, wires, and brackets
-Laying and setting mosaic tiles
-Mixing, laying, and polishing terra surfaces
-Cutting, polishing, and installing marble and granite
-Preparing cost estimates and orders
