DescriptionJob Summary: The Terminal Manager is responsible for the overall management and daily operations of a transportation terminal, specifically focusing on the efficient handling and scheduling of provincial buses. This role includes ensuring safety and compliance, maintaining high standards of customer service, and overseeing the terminal team in managing operational costs while ensuring smooth flow of inbound and outbound shipments.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily terminal operations, including scheduling, dispatch, and cargo handling for provincial buses to ensure timely and safe transport.Ensure compliance with company policies, local government unit (LGU) regulations, and other government regulations related to transportation, safety, and environmental standards.Supervise terminal staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions when necessary, with a focus on bus operations.Monitor and manage operational expenses related to provincial bus operations, aiming to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.Develop and implement operational procedures that improve productivity, service levels, and safety, specifically for the handling of provincial bus services.Collaborate with provincial bus companies and other departments to improve service offerings and meet customer needs.Ensure that all terminal equipment and buses are properly maintained and adhere to safety protocols, including regular safety checks and inspections.Conduct regular inspections of terminal facilities to ensure safety and operational standards are met, particularly for bus parking and maintenance areas.Manage and resolve customer complaints and issues specifically related to provincial bus services to maintain a high level of satisfaction.Prepare reports on terminal performance, including volume, revenue, cost, and safety metrics related to bus operations.Develop contingency plans for unforeseen circumstances affecting provincial bus operations, including weather, equipment failure, or personnel shortages.Ensure 100% leasing of all leasable areas and ensure timely collections of rental payments from provincial bus operators.Monitor compliance and payment of the Bagsakan Operation, ensuring adherence to terminal rules and regulations, particularly as they relate to bus operations.RequirementsBachelor's degree in logistics, transportation management, or a related field.5+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or terminal operations, with at least 2 years in a management role.Strong leadership and team management skills.In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards, especially for provincial buses.Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.Ability to handle high-pressure situations and multitask effectively.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Proficiency in transportation management software and the Microsoft Office suite.
