Job Description:
As a Telco Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise in telecommunications services and products. You will work closely with customers, technical teams, and service providers to ensure seamless installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of telecommunications systems. Your role is critical in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and service reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for telecommunications services, including voice, data, and internet services.
Assist in the installation and configuration of telecommunication equipment, such as routers, switches, and modems, both onsite and remotely.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure proper network configurations and optimize service performance.
Conduct diagnostics and analyze issues related to network connectivity, service interruptions, and equipment malfunctions.
Respond to customer inquiries and service requests promptly and professionally, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
Create and maintain detailed documentation of service incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the company's ticketing system.
Work with vendors and third-party service providers to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
Provide training and support to customers on the use of telecommunication products and services.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in telecommunications.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance technical knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in telecommunications support, technical support, or a related field.
Strong understanding of telecommunications technologies, including VoIP, broadband, and networking principles.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
