Purpose of the Job The role holder will be responsible for the administration, coordination, and execution of training initiatives for the crew and cadets. Collaborating across relevant departments, stakeholders, manning agents, training partners (local and global), to ensure a smooth roll-out and execution of training initiatives for the crew and cadets.
Self-driven with the ability to work independently, multi-task and in possession of good communication as well as interpersonal skills, to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Possesses a good working knowledge of technical training and experience in organizing and executing training programs.
The individual should be able to manage and provide consultation to stakeholders on technical training and manage technical training projects in terms of content development/delivery.
Job Accountabilities/Key Responsibilities Provide technical consultation for content development and technical related training for crew competency development. Oversee training events including liaison with manning agents and training centers, course registration, participant and trainer/assessor confirmation, virtual platform access and/or training venue. Follow through the end-to-end process of the Cadet Progression Programme and Top 2 Officers Promotion Programme Assist in the preparation of reports for crew training, system utilization and training budget/expenses. Ensure data are updated and synchronized across all data management, training matrixes, crew management and learning management systems (i.e. Shared Drive, COMPAS, LMS and Seagull). Ensure new or upgraded Seagull kits are ordered and delivered to all vessels promptly. Ensure training-related invoices are processed promptly. Ensure training activities updated accordingly on COMPAS, LMS and the company's intranet. Handle the day-to-day training and crew promotion related queries or requests and ensure timely and effective resolution of queries or issues. Report/audit existing programs and drive compliance across the fleet. Create reports on training summaries, progress updates and make recommendations for continuous training improvements. Involve/support in any other projects whenever required, as part of the job role or company's business needs. Support the Senior Training Manager to ensure smooth administration, coordination and execution of training and development initiatives for the crew and cadets. Qualifications & Experience Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in a technical related training position. Have proven track record in training administration as well as project management, in a multi-cultural working environment. A self-starter and ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Must be resourceful and possess excellent communication and presentation skills. Able to manage tight deadlines and ensure good follow-up and follow through. Preferred Maritime industry technical experience or experienced working in a Maritime training center. Experienced in the launch, execution and maintenance of globally large-scale training programs will be an advantage. Experienced in conducting audits and assessments of training providers and institutions. Meticulous attention to detail with creative mindset.
