We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Superintendent to join our Ship Management team (Domestic/Inter Island Tanker Vessels). The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the technical operations, maintenance, and repair of our vessels, ensuring compliance with international standards and company policies. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and in-depth knowledge of marine engineering and ship management.
Key Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day technical operations of assigned vessels, ensuring efficient and cost-effective vessel performance. Plan, coordinate, and oversee dry-docking, repairs, and scheduled maintenance activities. Monitor and manage the vessel's budgets, including maintenance, repairs, and technical supplies. Ensure compliance with international/domestic maritime regulations, safety, and environmental standards (ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL). Conduct regular vessel inspections to ensure the technical condition of the vessels meets the required standards. Liaise with ship captains, chief engineers, and port authorities regarding vessel operations and technical issues. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to the fleet. Prepare and manage technical reports and documentation for senior management. Work closely with the supply chain department to ensure timely and efficient supply of necessary parts and equipment. Collaborate with the crewing department to ensure that vessels are adequately manned with skilled personnel. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Technical Superintendent, Chief Engineer, or in a similar ship management role. Strong knowledge of maritime regulations (ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL) and technical requirements. Proven experience in managing vessel maintenance, repairs, dry-docking, and budgets. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple vessels simultaneously. Proficiency in MS Office and ship management software. Willingness to travel and conduct regular vessel inspections. Preferred: Chief Engineer's License (STCW III/2) or equivalent.
