Job Purpose: Responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of Tax including Corporate Tax Compliance, Planning, Advisory, Audit, Transfer Pricing, Indirect Taxation, etc. for the company.
Key Accountabilities: Recommend tax strategies and advise management regarding the tax impact of corporate strategies to achieve tax optimization and cost-saving. Lead tax planning, support due diligence processes, and oversee the transfer of ownership of acquired assets for any corporate exercise. Identify potential exposures and communicate such issues to minimize or eliminate any potential risks. Provide key tax guidance to operations, especially regarding projects including tax structuring, process efficiency initiatives, acquisitions, and repatriation. Assist in integrating new structures, business processes, or acquisitions to align with Group Financial Controls. Drive the implementation of transfer pricing/tax-related projects in accordance with tax requirements. Advise business units on all matters with transfer pricing implications for the group, including cross-border transactions. Prepare intercompany agreements, computations, and templates to address transfer pricing requirements. Liaise with external tax consultants on advisory and compliance of all transfer pricing matters. Manage all tax audits, investigations, and inquiries related to transfer pricing and intercompany transactions. Oversee taxes in relation to corporate, income, transactions, and operations of the group, as well as tax provision, compliance, and planning work. Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge: Degree in Accountancy or Professional Degree or equivalent. Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in taxation within a professional firm or commercial entity. Minimum of 2 years of managerial/supervisory experience. Strong technical knowledge in taxation (especially corporate tax compliance, planning/advisory, indirect taxation, transfer pricing, and transfer of ownership of acquired assets). Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills, team player, and resilience. Ability to establish priorities, work within tight deadlines, and handle multiple concurrent activities. Proficiency in Excel and hands-on experience with Accounting Software. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in the Telco industry is an advantage but not mandatory. Experience in transition management. Experience working within a multicultural, international environment.
