TAX DIRECTOR
Job Objective: Be in charge of Lavie Group Tax, providing leadership to ensure 100% tax compliance for all Lavie legal entities. Responsible for auditing and reviewing all tax reporting to mitigate risks of tax exposure, ensure alignment in tax planning, and implementing tax-efficient measures to achieve savings for the group. Also serves as a tax advisor and educator, identifying and addressing tax-related risks, while managing, resolving, and settling all outstanding tax cases for all Lavie legal entities.
Job Description:
1. Tax Reporting and Compliance
a. Oversees and manages tax reporting and compliance processes across all legal entities under the group
b. Supervises the tax compliance teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting and filing of all tax types, particularly year-end submissions.
c. Ensure avoidance on tax exposure, incurring of penalties and surcharges
d. Review the related party transactions and transfer pricing transactions within the group to prevent violations
e. Serves as a resource person for tax expertise, providing guidance and support to the group
2. Tax Planning, Advisory and Risk Management
a. Leads in the regular tax planning to align all tax practices and treatment with group financial goals.
b. Identify opportunities for tax savings and legally minimize tax liabilities
c. Improves tax processes by developing and implementing best practices
d. Advises management regarding the tax impact of corporate strategies and on the impact of new laws to the group business operations
e. Manages tax risks arising from new tax laws, providing solutions to minimize or eliminate such risks
f. Drafts and prepares guidelines for the group on tax issues and provide solutions to address them
g. Prepares and submit compliance reports to senior management as required
3. Tax Audits
a. Manages group tax audits, including the preparation of response letters, and leads the tax compliance team in timely preparation of accurate documentation for submission.
b. Collaborates with the Legal Team to ensure alignment of the group's tax position.
c. Coordinates with tax authorities regarding outstanding tax audits for the group.
4. People Development
a. Mentors and guides the tax compliance group, to ensure high-quality output
b. Educates the group to the latest tax laws and provides assistance to tax compliance group in implementing such needed changes
c. Supports the tax compliance groups in conducting trainings of the group employees
d. Builds professional relationships with government institutions
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
Certified Public Accountant and/or Lawyer (Philippine Bar Exam Passer)
At least 6 years of experience in tax accounting and compliance.
Strong knowledge of local tax laws and regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Good organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
