Tax Compliance Officer

The Tax Compliance Officer administers compliance with tax and reportorial requirements of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Local Government Units (LGUs), and other concerned regulatory agencies for operating and non-operating companies.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION and RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist external bookkeepers for timely tax return preparation, submission, and payment of BIR tax dues, SEC & PEZA filing, and other regulatory agency compliances for operating companies.

Handle and ensure timely tax return preparation, submission, and payment of BIR tax dues, SEC filing, and other regulatory agency compliances for non-operating companies.

Oversee and monitor the timeliness of compliance to LGUs for permits, property taxes, and other fees for operating and non-operating companies.

Preparation of payment request for applicable taxes, permits & licenses dues, and government statutory dues.

Check proper computation of EWT and sign Certificates

Ensures proper coordination regarding statutory filing and payments

Ensure Insurance related records and payments are updated.

Perform other related duties and functions assigned by the Finance Manager.

EDUCATIONAL / PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Degree in Accountancy or Management Accounting

Strong attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy

Possess strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Possess strong proficiency in Excel

Excellent communication and analytical skills

Excellent interpersonal and time management skills to meet time-sensitive deadlines
