Tax Compliance Manager - Cpa

Drake's top client – a logistics company is hiring a Tax Compliance Manager to be part of their collaborative team in Paranaque City.
Responsibilities:

• Calculation of tax liabilities
o Review calculation done by Tax Jr Accountant related to EWT, FWT, and VAT.
o Perform the calculation of Quarterly and Annual Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and Quarterly Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT)
• Review of tax journal entries to be made, including but not limited to the following:
o Reclass entries from Deferred Output VAT to Output VAT collected;
o Reclass entries from Deferred Input VAT to Input VAT Paid;
o Utilization of Input VAT against Output VAT;
o CIT and FBT for accrual
• Handling of Tax Audit
o Ensures proper supporting documents and computation are in place upon BIR audit
o Consultation and liaising with external parties on tax matters (e.g., external auditors, tax consultants/counsel, regulatory agencies etc.)
• Tax research, analysis, and interpretation for purposes of compliance, tax planning and optimization (e.g., impact of changes to laws and regulations on tax liabilities)
o Perform tax compliance reviews to anticipate BIR audits
o Regular checking of latest BIR issuances and assessing impact, if applicable
• Tax specific transaction recording and records maintenance (e.g., tax journals, capital expenditure details required for tax calculations, tax depreciation schedules, etc.)

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Certified Public Accountant.
• With at least 3 years of experience as a Tax Compliance Manager or similar.
• Background in working with the Big 4 auditing firm is an advantage.
• Exposed to tax rulings and regulations for freight forwarding or logistics business.
• With good leadership skills, keen to details, high level of integrity and ethics, and critical thinker.
• Well-versed in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
