Job description
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining the organization's IT systems, ensuring their optimal performance and security. This role provides technical support to resolve hardware, software, and network issues, and works closely with end-users to troubleshoot and train them on system functionalities. The engineer also monitors system health, performs regular backups, applies updates, and ensures compliance with security standards.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Install and configure operating systems, applications, and network hardware such as routers, switches, and servers.
Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for clients, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues promptly
Provide user support and training on systems, tools, and best practices to ensure effective utilization
Maintain accurate documentation of data center operations, system configurations, and incident logs for auditing and future reference
JOB QUALIFICATION
A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic/ Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Relevant industry certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, or similar are advantageous.
Certifications in Cisco HyperFlex, Nutanix, or other HCI solutions are highly preferred.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in system administration, technical support, or a related
Proven experience working with Cisco HyperFlex, Nutanix, or other HCI solutions, particularly in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting scalable environments.
Expertise or at least proficient working knowledge in Operating Systems (OS/NOS) such as Linux/Unix, macOS, and Windows, including experience with relevant scripting and automation tools (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python).
Working knowledge/Understanding of NMS (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds), Syslog (e.g., rsyslog, syslog-ng), SIEM (e.g., Splunk, Elasticsearch), and other similar or related solutions.
Working knowledge and/or experience in server clustering (e.g., Microsoft Failover Clustering, Veritas Cluster Server), virtualization (e.g., VMware vSphere, Hyper-V), and cloud computing environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

Must have in-depth knowledge of Cisco HyperFlex and Nutanix or other HCI solutions. This includes experience with configuring, managing, and troubleshooting HCI environments to improve scalability, performance, and efficiency in data centers.
