1. Manages the following aspects of Active Directory (AD) server administration in MakatiMedical Center (MMC):1.1. Installation and configuration according to MMC standards and operation and application of AD best practices.1.2. Monitoring of performance and fine tuning.1.3. Patch and upgrade management.1.4. Resolution of server operating systems-related issues with vendors or third-party.1.5. Server security, integrity and reliability.1.6. Disaster recovery on AD configuration.2. Manages email services.2.1. Administers user mail boxes, collaborates update of distribution lists, and ensures connectivity for remote users.2.2. Administers capacity and security of email server.2.3. Ensures disaster recovery is done on email boxes.3. Coordinates with vendors regarding management if servers are externally managed.Installs new or rebuilds existing servers, and configures hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage, among others, in accordance with standards and project or operational requirements.5. Installs, configures, and maintains systems, including virtualization server and storage.6. Develops and maintains installation and configuration procedures.7. Contributes to and maintains system standards.8. Researches and recommends innovative and, where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identifies approaches that leverage hospital resources and provides economies of scale.9. Performs daily system monitoring and Health Check; verification of the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes; review of system and application logs; and verification of completion of scheduled jobs, such as backups.10. Performs periodic test restoration of backup data to ensure availability and integrity.11. Performs daily backup operations to ensure all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.12. Applies operating system (OS) patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrades administrative tools and utilities. Configures/adds new services as necessary.13. Performs disaster recovery (DR) Drills for the entire Hospital Information System (HIS) ecosystem, including interfaces with Radiology Information System and Picture Archive and Communication System (RIS/PACS), Laboratory Information System (LIS), System Applications Products (SAP), and other home-grown applications.14. Conducts and performs, together with the Network & Security AdministrathVulnerability Assessment Penetration testing to local, demilitarized zone (DMZ) and internet domains to check missing security patches, backdoors and open ports that compromise MMC's networks and systems from security threats and breaches such as malworms, trojans and intrusions.15. Performs periodic performance reporting to support all server capacity planning.16, Performs performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configures CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.17. Investigates and troubleshoots systems and/or server related issues.18. Creates, maintains, and deletes user accounts following Information & CommunicationsTechnology (ICT) standards.19. Maintains and documents operational, configuration, and other related procedures.20. Performs other duties that may be assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.
