SWIMMING COACH

 

Responsibilities:
Determining ability and skill level before setting up training programs

Developing and implementing training programs that focus on improving technique, stroke placement, speed, and style

Teaching varying levels of students and age groups

Assessing the progress of students and adjusting teaching programs accordingly

Monitoring students to prevent accidents and injuries

Teaching brand new swimming styles or strokes

Educating swimmers on water safety and providing lifesaving training sessions
- Using a range of activities to improve water confidence

Setting training goals and objectives whether teams or individual swimmers

Teaching and perfecting skills like flips, kicks, body rolls, floating, and breath control

Engage in consultations for the learning material handed out to students

Providing first aid and CPR whenever necessary

Requirements and Skills:
Lifeguard certification, CPR and First Aid certification

Strong background in swimming and physical education

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Excellent conflict resolution skills

Motivated, passionate, and has a friendly personality

1-2 years exp.
