Overview Position Sustainability Specialist Job Code Reports to Hard Services Sr Manager Direct Reports Sr Manager's, SMP ' s and Consultants Division The Line FM Department Role Purpose The Sustainability Specialist at The LINE FM Operations is a key figure in supporting the advancement of the sustainability agenda of The LINE from a FM perspective, a pioneering urban development project. This role involves leading sustainability initiatives, integrating sustainable practices into FM operations, and supporting with ensuring that The LINE's vision for a sustainable urban environment is achieved and sustained. The Sustainability Specialist will be instrumental in design review, operational planning, and the implementation of innovative sustainability solutions. Key Accountabilities & Activities Key Responsibilities Sustainability Strategy and Integration: Develop and implement sustainability strategies within FM operations, ensuring alignment with The LINE's vision. Lead the integration of sustainable practices in design review, maintenance planning, and operational processes. Advocate for environmentally responsible solutions in all aspects of facilities management. Innovative Sustainability Solutions: Research, evaluate, and propose cutting-edge sustainability technologies and practices for implementation. Collaborate with design and engineering teams to embed sustainability in The LINE's infrastructure. Stay abreast of global sustainability trends and advancements to continually enhance The LINE's sustainability efforts. Operational Sustainability Planning: Plan for sustainable operations, focusing on energy efficiency, waste reduction, and resource conservation. Develop guidelines and procedures for sustainable maintenance and operational practices. Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions and workshops for the LINE FM staff to promote sustainability awareness and best practices. Foster a culture of environmental responsibility and continuous improvement within The LINE FM team. Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external partners to advance sustainability goals. Engage with industry experts, regulatory bodies, and sustainability forums to share knowledge and insights. KEY RESULT AREAS (KRA's) Sustainability Leadership and Strategy: Drive the development and implementation of sustainability strategies in FM operations. Ensure The LINE's sustainability vision is integrated into all FM activities. Innovation in Sustainability Practices: Champion the adoption of innovative and sustainable solutions in facilities management. Continually enhance The LINE's sustainability profile through advanced practices and technologies. Operational Efficiency and Environmental Stewardship: Promote operational efficiency and resource conservation in FM processes. Contribute to The LINE's overall environmental sustainability and compliance with environmental standards. Education and Stakeholder Engagement: Lead sustainability education and awareness initiatives within the LINE FM team. Collaboratively work with stakeholders to promote sustainability across The LINE's operations. Background, Skills & Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Experience Minimum of 15 years of experience in sustainability, preferably within facilities management or urban development settings. Proven expertise in developing and implementing sustainability initiatives and solutions. Proven ability in project management and cross-functional team collaboration. Excellent communication skills with fluency in English, both written and spoken. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Facilities Management, or a related field.
