Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role: The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for developing and implementing supply chain strategies to ensure efficient demand forecasting, production scheduling, and material requirements planning. This role involves working closely with plant managers to align production processes with supply chain plans, optimizing both production and inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods. The manager will oversee raw material supply, manage finished goods distribution, and collaborate with third-party logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation. Additionally, the role includes implementing inventory control systems, identifying cost optimization opportunities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities: Supply Chain Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies, including demand forecasting, production scheduling, and material requirements planning to meet customer demands efficiently. Production Management: Work with plant managers to ensure production processes align with supply chain plans, optimizing production schedules to minimize downtime and increase efficiency. Raw Materials Management: Monitor the supply of raw materials to ensure availability and minimize stockouts or overstock situations, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to maintain optimal inventory levels. Finished Goods Management: Oversee the storage and distribution of finished goods, ensuring they meet quality standards and are delivered to customers in a timely manner. Collaboration with Logistics Partners: Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers to ensure cost-effective and timely transportation of materials and goods, negotiating contracts and performance standards. Inventory Control: Maintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, implementing effective inventory control systems and procedures. Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost reductions across the supply chain while maintaining high service levels. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all supply chain activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations, including health and safety standards. Must-have Skills / Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or a Related Field The candidate must have a solid academic foundation in Industrial Engineering or a closely related discipline, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of systems optimization, process improvement, and operational efficiencies, which are essential in this role.At Least 10 Years of Experience in a Supervisory Role A proven track record of at least a decade in supervisory or managerial positions is required. This experience should include leading teams, managing day-to-day operations, and implementing strategies to drive organizational success.Good Communication and Interpersonal Skills The candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively with various teams, departments, and external stakeholders, fostering a collaborative work environment.Ability to Multitask Must be adept at managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of productivity and attention to detail. This ensures smooth workflow even under pressure.Strong Personality The role requires a leader with a confident and assertive demeanour, capable of making firm decisions and managing teams with authority, while also remaining approachable and supportive.Proactive and Takes Initiative The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to take action without being prompted, anticipate challenges, and create solutions to improve processes, increase efficiency, and address operational needs.Resilience and Adaptability The role demands a candidate who can thrive in high-pressure environments, overcome obstacles, and adapt to changing conditions and expectations while maintaining composure and effectiveness.Fluency in Cebuano Must be proficient in speaking Cebuano to communicate effectively with local staff and stakeholders, ensuring that language barriers do not hinder the operational and managerial functions of the role.
