Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Supply Chain Director to lead and optimize our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in importation, local supply management (specifically for marinated chicken), supplier negotiations, and the ability to effectively engage with C-suite executives and company presidents. This role will focus on driving cost optimization, ensuring best practices, and utilizing SAP systems to streamline operations. The candidate will also be responsible for negotiating restaurant CAPEX construction projects, budgeting, risk management, team development, and continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end supply chain activities, from procurement to distribution, ensuring timely and cost-effective operations.Manage relationships with key suppliers, specifically for marinated chicken, and negotiate favorable contracts and service agreements.Collaborate with senior leadership, including C-suite executives and company presidents, to align supply chain strategies with business goals.Oversee importation processes, ensuring compliance with regulations and efficient logistics management.Negotiate and manage restaurant CAPEX construction projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely execution.Develop and manage operating budgets, ensuring cost control and optimization across all supply chain functions.Drive best practices in supply chain management, including demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and risk management.Implement and leverage SAP systems to enhance supply chain visibility, traceability, and reporting.Identify and execute cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.Ensure quality standards are met, particularly with food safety and handling protocols.Develop contingency plans for supply chain disruptions and create strategies for peak season management.Develop, mentor, and train high-performing, results-based team members to drive operational excellence.Lead and foster a culture of continuous improvement, performance accountability, and collaboration within the supply chain team.Uphold high integrity and ethical standards in all aspects of the supply chain function.Qualifications:
Proven experience (10+ years) in supply chain management, with a focus on importation and local supply, particularly in the food industry.Strong track record in supplier negotiations, contract management, and building relationships with senior executives (C-suite and Presidents).Expertise in budgeting, cost control, and driving operational efficiency.Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems is essential.Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.Demonstrated ability to develop and lead high-performing, results-oriented teams.Deep understanding of best practices in supply chain, logistics, and procurement.Experience in negotiating restaurant CAPEX construction projects.High integrity and ethical leadership in all business dealings.Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Experience in managing supply chain risks and contingency planning.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in managing supply chain operations for marinated chicken or perishable goods.A background in international trade, with a focus on import/export compliance and regulations.Advanced knowledge of food safety standards and quality control processes.
