Staff Nurse

**Job Summary**

The Staff Nurse provides direct patient care by observing the steps in the nursing process through assessment for nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
He / She collaborates with other members of the healthcare team in meeting the needs of the patients.
The Staff Nurse participates in activities related to personal and professional growth and development.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Gathers the patient's History of Present Illness from the patient and/or the patient's companion.
- Checks, measures, records and reports vital signs of patient accurately.
- Assists physicians in examining patients, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and bedside procedures.
- Administers medications as prescribed by the doctors.
- Prepares patients for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Identifies, plans, evaluates, and performs prescribed nursing care needed by the patient.
- Performs shift to shift endorsement.
**Qualifications**
- Graduate of BS Nursing
- Has PRC license
