Job Description Matest Laboratory Services and Technical Solutions Inc., a leading provider of geotechnical investigation and material testing services, is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Logistics Staff Engineer with an industrial engineering background. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing logistics processes to ensure the efficient and timely movement of equipment, samples, and materials for field investigations and lab testing. You will play a key role in streamlining operations, improving workflows, and supporting our project teams in delivering high-quality results.
Responsibilities Logistics and Operations Management: Coordinate the scheduling, transportation, and delivery of equipment, samples, and materials between sites and the laboratory to ensure smooth and timely project execution.Process Optimization: Analyze current logistics processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to reduce costs, enhance productivity, and minimize delays in field and lab operations.Inventory Control and Asset Management: Oversee the inventory of equipment and materials required for testing and field investigations. Ensure proper maintenance, tracking, and readiness of equipment for field use.Workflow Coordination: Collaborate with project teams to align logistics planning with project schedules and requirements. Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and third-party logistics providers as needed. Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or any related field.Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in logistics, operations, or supply chain management, preferably within geotechnical, construction, or testing services.Technical Skills: Proficiency in logistics software, inventory management systems, and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems). Familiarity with lean and industrial engineering principles is an advantage.
