Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Ensure an excellent professional working relationship with the regulators, especially BSP and other government agencies.Engage in constant dialogue with the regulators to present compliance initiatives and ask for clarifications on interpretations of laws and regulations.Handle and monitor the advisories or mandates of BSP and other regulatory agencies and ensure timely implementation/submission.Ensure a good professional relationship with other departments and control function units.Assist the Head of Compliance in the presentation during meetings with BSP, CGCC, Management, or the Board of Directors.Interpret laws and regulations and cascade the information to the relevant departments.Performance of risk assessment of new or existing (if applicable) services and products in compliance with existing laws and regulations.Assist the Head of Compliance in any licensing applications and submission.Perform gap analysis between existing policy/process and requirements under the laws and regulations (e.g., BSP Circulars, BSP Memorandums, BSP Manual of Regulations for Non-Banking Financial Institutions, AMLC IRA issuances, etc.) and ensure that the identified gaps have been resolved within a reasonable time.Assist in the development of compliance initiatives and programs with respective in-country legal, licensing, and regulatory obligations.Provide assistance in preparing for impending regulatory changes or revisions to licensing structure.Maintain a proper register of all incidents reported internally and externally.Aid in improving tools to monitor, analyze, and submit all Regulatory Reports required by BSP or any other regulators.Provide relevant compliance reporting to ensure the completion and proper analysis of any identified compliance-related incidents.Assist in developing and executing compliance awareness and refresher training for employees and agents.Performs other duties as assigned by the Head of Compliance, CGCC, or Board of Directors and other compliance activities, as may be relevant.
