About the role
We are extremely excited to announce that we are inviting candidate applications for a Specialist – SHES to be based in our GBS Manila office in Pasig City, Philippines on a hybrid working setup.
The Specialist – SHES role offers regional specialist expertise to effectively manage Safety, Health, and Environment (SHES) within the Orica GBS shared services environment. It involves developing and implementing the local SHES plan and ensuring ongoing compliance with Orica's SHES frameworks. The role also collaborates closely with other regional SHES roles and the local Lead for Risk & Compliance.
What you will be doing
The Specialist – SHES is going to be responsible for developing, owning, and implementing the GBS-specific SHES Plan, focusing on the safety and health needs of the Shared Services environment. It involves a proactive approach to SHES Plan implementation, including coaching, mentoring, delivering programs, and providing advice and support. The role also ensures compliance with Orica's standards and procedures, supports SHES reporting requirements, and monitors investigations and action plans.
This role will also collaborate with the Asia Regional SHES team to drive the implementation of Orica SHES standards and improvement initiatives. It works with the Lead – Risk & Compliance to monitor regional requirements and trends and engages with industry associations. The role also involves collaborating with global SHES on best practices and performing the duties of a Safety Officer (Level 3).
What you will bringBachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5-8 years of experience in Safety Health Environment and Security and/or Operations relating to Shared Services settings or related fieldCompleted or willing to complete the required training to meet Safety Officer 3 qualifications.Great understanding of safety & health regulatory frameworks, risk management and systems.Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.Strong reputation for integrity, ethics, personal values, solid character and hascourage, resilience and flexibilitySelf-aware and open to feedback and can work effectively across business units.What we offer
