As an integral team member, the Transport Solutions Design Manager collaborates with the Sales Team and clients, leveraging extensive knowledge of transport solution methodologies to propose mutually beneficial solutions. Responsibilities: 1.Bid Management , Solution Design, and Price / Cost Optimization Lead and manage bid events with particular focus on strategic, high-value, and design-heavy opportunities. Design optimal configurations of FAST transportation services and managed subcontractors to meet customers' service level and cost needs. Secure, maintain, and analyze carrier rates and terms across transportation modes to provide lowest cost- to- serve options meeting the needs of customers and the company. Communicate FAST innovations, technologies, and 3rd-party partnerships as potential value-drivers in customers' solutions. 2.Network Optimization Apply network modeling tools to optimize distribution networks. Utilize big data and logistics technologies for network improvement. Analyze existing transportation methods and logistics operations for inefficiencies and improvements. Design innovative and sustainable transport solutions. 3.Subject Matter Expertise and Strategic Guidance Provide subject matter expertise to customers, Business Development, and other account-level management. Collaborate with customers to develop logistics strategies for entering new markets.
