Responsibilities:
? Responsible for the end-to-end implementation of grid connected residential rooftop solar
projects on Lhoopa's residential real estate portfolio.
? Design/dimension the solar systems and run yield simulations.
? Train and manage the local contractors to install the solar systems properly.
? Coordinate with LGU and distribution utilities to install and commission the solar systems,
under net metering regulations.
? Optimize continuously the capex efficiency of the solar system by improving installation
processes, selecting new components and negotiating with hardware suppliers/contractors.
? Coordinate the procurement from overseas suppliers. Including arranging shipping, customs
clearance and last mile logistics.
? Hire and manage a team of solar project managers.
Qualifications:
? BSc or MSc in electrical or (renewable) energy engineering or relevant field
? 3+ years of work experience in residential solar project management.
? Successfully coordinated the end-to-end installation and commissioning of +10 residential
rooftop mounted solar projects under the Philippines net metering scheme. This includes design
of solar system according to PEC/PDC, selection of components (modules, inverters, BOS...),
simulation of solar yields, coordination with installation team and fulfilling the administration
requirements (LGU, DU...)
? Aware of the latest behind-the-meter solar regulations in the Philippines. Deeply familiar with
the relevant topics of Philippines electrical code (PEC) and Philippines distribution code (PDC)
for behind the meter solar installations.
? Up to date on the latest solar hardware trends – module pricing, inverter technologies, plug
and play solutions, ...
? Existing relationships with solar commissioning and net metering engineers of the main
distribution utilities of the Philippines. (At a minimum Meralco). You know what DIS/CREAS
fees are all about and understand how to minimize them.
? Solid working experience with solar design and simulation software such
Opensolar, Pylontech, Aurora solar, pvsyst or others.
? Get it done attitude with a strong sense of ownership. You aren't afraid to pick up the phone,
roll up your sleeves to show contractors how to install the solar systems properly or review the
quality of installation yourself.
? You are ambitious and hope to become a head of solar project management.
? Preferred - oversea procurement experience. Handling oversea hardware suppliers and
coordinating with shipment & custom clearance partners.
? Good oral and written communication skills In English.
