Software Firmware & Electronics Qa

Job Role & Responsibilities
? Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases for software, firmware, and electronic components including the Kanary software platform and IoT devices.
? Collaborate with the development team to understand product designs and specifications.
? Perform manual and automated testing to identify, document, and resolve defects.
? Work with hardware and software tools to simulate and test product environments.
? Analyze test data and report findings to the development team and management.
? Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
? Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
? Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the field, including software, firmware, and testing tools.
? Assist in the development of quality assurance policies and procedures.
? Collaborate effectively with software developers, firmware engineers, electronic hardware designers, and management to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and drive quality improvements throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications/ Skills:
? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
? 2-5 years of experience in quality assurance, specifically with software and firmware testing.
? Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
? Experience with automated testing tools and scripting languages.
? Knowledge of electronics and experience with hardware testing is highly desirable.
? Preferred Skills:
? Certifications in Quality Assurance or related fields.
? Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
? Knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.
