We are looking for an application developer to join our growing engineering team.
He/She needs to have a deep understanding of web standards and solid skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, client-side scripting, and JavaScript frameworks, including Angular, Ionic, and other front-end related development technologies or frameworks.
Core Responsibilities
Investigate, fix bugs, and issues detected in client deployments with active support contracts.
Test bug fixes, software patches before delivery to the client.
Help deploy software patches and validate if they have been applied properly.
Help identify any changes to the existing codebase.
Design and Implement (custom) feature improvements on products with no planned active development.
Collaborate with the SEG Lead in providing estimates for work needed to complete bug fixes.
Collaborate with the SEG Lead on providing estimates for work needed to deliver custom features or improvements to the product, in consultation with various product teams.
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or any related degree,
With at least 2-3 years of relevant experience.
Comfortable working with new programming languages and frameworks.
Technically savvy with experience in the following software tools:
Programming Languages: ? Java, Go, any modern Javascript framework (Angular, Ionic)
Processing Frameworks: ? Spark, Nifi
Big Data Storage Platforms:? Alfresco, PostgreSQL, Parquet, Distributed File Systems (MinIO, S3)
API: REST
Skilled in finding defects, debugging, and bug fixing.
Knowledgeable with unit testing, and automated scripted tests.
Can implement features within existing software.
Intellectual curiosity with willingness and desire to learn a new environment and tools to advance your own knowledge of the solution stack.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills to manage software deployments and operations.
Strong communication (verbal /written) and listening skills who can present complex information in a clear and compelling manner.
