This role is responsible in delivering an efficient and effective operations to our customer following our safety, quality, controls, and productivity standards.
Assist site management with the delivery of successful OMS and RPM implementations, including using resource planning, performance tracking & visibility tools.
As well as enable the successful implementation of continuous improvement and performance improvement tools as and when required.
Warehouse Operation includes receiving, storage and handling, and shipment of all Finished Goods items.
Main priority is to ensure safety in the operations without compromising quality and productivity in order to give satisfying results to the customer.
- Manage the achievement of agreed contractual KPIs.
- Accountable for own unit profit & loss with high impact to the stakeholder financial budget set
- Review monthly operational performance with site customers and provide solution to drive for operational excellence
- Negotiate with Suppliers/ Vendors / Contractors for the contractual rates and services & products
- Build a strong win-win customer relationship so as to ensure customer retention and development solution to growth existing business
- Frequently review, align and keep Superior updated information on operational issues and performances indices such as customer profile, Space Management, Resources management, Operating procedures and P&L status.
- Manage the planning process to ensure all daily operation activities are executed and meet according to the customer service levels
- Conduct monthly staff meeting to ensure operational performance and issues are resolved
- Actively promote the exchange and adoption of Best Practices within the country to leverage collective learning and to improve consistency and productivity
- Continually review and improve business processes to improve productivity and add value to DHL services
- Manage the effective implementation and use of the appropriate technology in all sections of the service chain, to enhance service and improve productivity
- Analyse and produce realistic monthly P & L reporting
- Develop a high performance service culture within the functional team.
Plan, organise and direct an efficient and effective operation team
- 5 - 7 years of warehouse management experience preferably in Consumer and Retail industry
- Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
- The ability to form successful relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external through influencing and negotiation skills to form solutions in line with business objectives.
- Strong understanding of warehouse procedures and inventory control with excellent ERP/MRP systems knowledge and general high-level computer literacy
- Experience of cost models, budget and KPI tracking along with strong report writing and statistical investigative skills
- A strong people leader
- Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Logistics, or comparable experience
