As a Site Engineer, you will be instrumental in managing daily operations on construction sites, overseeing technical aspects, and ensuring adherence to project specifications. This role demands strong leadership capabilities, a hands-on approach to site management, and a deep understanding of civil engineering principles to deliver high-quality infrastructure developments.
Core Responsibilities Project Execution and Oversight: Project Coordination: Supervise daily operations, ensuring construction activities align with project plans and specifications. Site Inspections: Conduct routine and thorough site checks to oversee progress, manage resources, and uphold safety and quality standards. Compliance and Documentation: Manage and maintain essential project documents, including implementation plans using PERT/CPM, ensuring all regulatory and procedural documentation is accurate and submitted on time. Technical and Regulatory Compliance: Materials and Standards Compliance: Verify that all construction materials and practices meet project specifications and quality standards. Environmental and Safety Compliance: Monitor construction sites to ensure compliance with regulations and maintain high safety standards. Communication and Reporting: Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders to facilitate decision-making and address technical challenges. Progress Reporting: Provide detailed daily updates and comprehensive weekly reports on project status, challenges, and milestones. Quality Control and Project Evaluation: Inspection and Evaluation: Conduct detailed pre-final and final project inspections to ensure all aspects of the project meet or exceed expectations. Documentation Accuracy: Manage and archive detailed records of the construction process, including photographic documentation for quality assurance and billing. Leadership and Team Management: Team Leadership: Direct and support construction teams, clarifying roles and responsibilities and ensuring a cohesive project execution strategy. Professional Development: Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, encouraging team members to enhance their skills and knowledge. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. At least 3 years of experience in road construction and civil works project management. Strong understanding of construction processes and standards. Excellent communication and coordination skills. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
