The SharePoint Administrator is responsible for overseeing the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of BG&E's Microsoft 365 SharePoint Online platform.
This role will work closely with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to identify requirements, propose solutions, and ensure the successful delivery of SharePoint-based solutions that align with business objectives.
Regular activities include configuring the M365 SharePoint environment, managing document libraries, implementing SharePoint governance, planning, and working on projects that enhance BG&E's business processes and document management practices.
Technical Responsibilities
Configure modern workplace applications on the SharePoint Online environment (Office 365) to optimize workflows and collaboration tools.Develop and integrate SharePoint-based applications and create document libraries to facilitate efficient data management.Design and manage forms, workflows, and automation processes using Power Apps and Power Automate.Migrate documents from legacy intranet and file shares to SharePoint Online, ensuring data integrity and proper structuring.Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint-related issues, providing timely technical support to ensure minimal disruptions to user operations.Develop, implement, and support SharePoint-based solutions that integrate with other Office 365 applications and third-party tools.
Governance and Administrative Responsibilities
Assist in the development and maintenance of an effective SharePoint governance framework, ensuring compliance with security, data privacy, and regulatory requirements.Provide comprehensive SharePoint support and conduct training for end-users, ensuring they are well-equipped to use SharePoint features and functionality.Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls to ensure data security and compliance.Monitor usage reports and activity logs and delivering enhancements to ensure optimal user experiences and platform performance.Perform regular clean-ups, archiving, and storage management to ensure efficient use of space within SharePoint Online.Stay updated with SharePoint developments and Office 365 updates, applying version upgrades, patches, and improvementsLead the creation and maintenance of Team sites and SharePoint sites for different departments and projects, ensuring proper configuration and user engagement.Lead SharePoint functional projects from initiation t completion.Coordinate with external vendors and consultants, if required, for SharePoint-related projects or enhancements. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is a plus.Experience supporting and maintaining solutions within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem such as Power Apps, Power Automate, (Power BI is a plus).Deep understanding of SharePoint features, capabilities, and best practices.Proficiency in SharePoint customization using SharePoint Designer, Power Apps, Azure Logic apps, Function apps and code developed in SPFX.Knowledge of SharePoint security, permissions, and access management.Experience working with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Office 365 toolsets.
