POSITIONSUMMARY: Our Technical Support team is on a mission to help families and friends from around the world pay tribute to those they love. By delivering best-in-class services and technical support with the overarching goal of helping customers on their journey from purchase to delivery.
A successful candidate has a strong working background in problem-solving and has a delivery-focused approach to driving customer value. The candidate will need a good mix of support and customer care skills and a deep technical ability to engage on bugs, issues, and customer feature requests to be a hands-fixer type of person. Additionally, this individual should have a good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics so they can be a staunch support resource
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Participate in the first line of communication with customers for support calls and feature requests. Design, develop, implement, and maintain WordPress websites. Collaborate with designers, developers, and project managers to ensure that customer enhancement projects are completed on time and within budget. Work closely with our web development, and Cloud Ops teams to ensure that all websites are up-to-date, secure, and responsive. Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, plugins, and themes. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. Optimize WordPress websites for speed, performance, and scalability. Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, and customizations to plugins. WHAT YOU'LL NEED: 5+ years of experience in developing and maintaining WordPress sites. Extensive knowledge of WordPress platform, with the ability to install, configure and maintain WordPress configurations, plugins, and other web management tools such as WAF, APM, and DNS. Strong proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS Experience with WordPress plugin and theme development Experience with version control systems such as Git A strong working knowledge of how to deploy, migrate, and support WordPress sites that are hosted by WPengine. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. Effective communication and people skills Ability to participate in an Agile driven product delivery process to scope customer requests or product bug fixes and plan the development and releases using agile.
