Job description
The Visual Designer's role may involve managing multiple design briefs and allocating the appropriate amount of time based on the job's value.
Meeting with e-commerce, Director Online Sales – Consumer Business, Online Consumer New Acquisition Sales Manager, Consumer Retention Manager, Team Lead and Campaign Coordinator, Senior Marketing Manager, and Marketing Executives to discuss business objectives and job requirements.
Interpreting the online team's business needs and developing concepts to suit their purpose.
Estimating the time required to complete the work and providing internal quotes (T&M) for the online business.
Developing design briefs by gathering information and data through research.
Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts.
Using innovation to redefine a design brief within cost and time constraints.
Presenting finalized ideas and concepts to online business stakeholders or marketing managers.
Working with a wide range of media, including photography and computer-aided design.
Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work.
Contributing ideas and design artwork to the overall brief.
Demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches.
Working on layouts and art-ready pages for web publishing.
Keeping abreast of emerging technologies in new media, especially design programs like Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Dreamweaver, and Adobe Flash.
Working as part of a team with web developers, copywriters, e-commerce, renewal and marketing managers, web developers, and marketing specialists.
Being proactive in presenting or "pitching" ideas and designs to consumer director, e-commerce, and renewal managers.
Performing all other duties as requested by Director Online Sales – Consumer Business.
