Job Profile Summary The Senior Tax Provision Analyst is responsible for assisting in the preparation, review, and analysis of income tax provisions and related financial statement disclosures in compliance with ASC 740. This role involves close collaboration with the Tax Manager and the broader tax team to ensure alignment with U.S. GAAP and other regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a foundational understanding of tax accounting principles and demonstrate a strong interest in developing expertise within tax provision processes.
Duties and responsibilities: Assist in preparing quarterly and annual income tax provisions, including calculating current and deferred taxes.Conduct tax research, support tax audits, and assist with resolving tax-related inquiries.Analyze tax accounts, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure accurate and compliant tax balances.Contribute to the preparation of tax-related disclosures in financial statements in alignment with U.S. GAAP.Maintain organized, accurate, and detailed workpapers supporting tax provision calculations and compliance efforts.Prepare and organize documentation required for tax audits and regulatory inquiries.Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of tax provisions.Qualifications: Minimum 2-5 years of US tax professional services experienceBasic knowledge of U.S. federal income tax; familiarity with ASC 740 and tax provision calculations is beneficial. Strong knowledge of Excel; work experience using tax preparation software and applications preferred.Written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Must be a team player and be willing to work overtime when necessary.Ability to lead and foster a positive working environment.Ability to multi-task job responsibilities.Advanced organizational and time management skills.Attention to detail.Strong work ethic - Results-oriented, self-motivated, and committed to achieving accuracy and compliance.Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Accounting/Finance/Commerce/Business
