JOB DESCRIPTION
Wood is presently looking to hire a Senior Structural Engineer in the Philippines.
Successful applicants will be responsible for the execution and delivery of Structural Engineering. This will include the use of relevant software such as STAAD and SACs, carrying out in place, lift analysis, producing design reports, data sheets and lifting plans.
This is an end-to-end rejuvenation scope and will involve interfacing with other disciplines like planning, construction, procurement, HVEC, and client operations.
You will be expected to work in a multidiscipline team environment where the overall success of the project is paramount.
RESPONSIBILITIES Execute all Structural Engineering activitiesMaintain technical integrityDeliver and support a strong HSE cultureWork within budget and schedule limitsAssist other disciplines to achieve their goalsSupport Management where requiredParticipate in cost and schedule estimatesPlan work in alignment with project scheduleMonitor and report progress using ascribed systemDrive innovative solutions to reduce cost and scheduleParticipate in relevant meetings, such as HAZID, Design Reviews, Model Review, and PEER ReviewsTake full cognizance of Health, Safety, and Environmental issuesLiaise and interact with other disciplines to ensure overall project goals are metAdvise management of variations in a timely mannerUtilize suitable technology to increase efficiencyBe fully conversant with Process safety and ensure its implementation within the Structural designEnsure all work reflects the context of a Brownfield Rejuvenation ProjectSupport the Lead Structural Engineer supervising younger engineers and graduatesSupport training requirements for graduates and team membersEnsure all deliverables are aligned with company and client procedures and national standardsEnsure documents are originated, checked, and approved by suitable competent personnelKeep up to date with the latest procedures, client requirements, and legislation QUALIFICATIONS Relevant degree or equivalent in Civil or Structural EngineeringConversant with relevant international standards and Codes of Practice - Minimum 10 years of structural engineering experience with 7 years related to the offshore oil and gas industry, ideally in brownfield worksExperience in using SACs and STAADExperience in lifting and rigging designFamiliar with working with construction engineers and lifting designBrownfield rejuvenation experience preferredMember of a recognized institution and registered Professional Engineer / Chartered EngineerExperience working in an EPC / EPCM environment ABOUT US
