About the Position In Werfen, our purpose is to contribute to the advancement of patient care around the world through innovative specialized diagnostics solutions.
We are looking for a Senior Software Test Engineer who participates, working autonomously, in verification and validation activities for clinical solutions software, including designing and developing procedures to test and report results and defects, and may include test planning.
This position is Hybrid (Remote and Presential):
Av. Can Montcau, 7, Lliçà d'Amunt, Barcelona Key Accountabilities: Design functional test case scenarios with a high level of coverage and build traceability to requirements. Identify, report, and re-test complex defects. Review requirements, specifications, and acceptance criteria to ensure test coverage. Design and execute tests for non-functional requirements such as performance, cybersecurity, and usability. Generate advanced metrics to assess testing progress. Participate in generating daily test documentation records. Execute risk-based test cases and understand safety risks associated with the project. Participate in user stories risk analysis and design traceability to safety requirements and risk mitigations. Use a wide range of cutting-edge technology to innovate while testing/developing. Collaborate with other squad members to implement user stories, write tests, and continuously deliver new/improved product functionality. Act as a Scrum Master of the project if required. Experience: Approximately 5-7 years of related experience. Medium experience in software test automation. Medium experience in Agile methodology. Experience in software functional and non-functional testing (desirable). Experience with issue tracking and defect management. Solid knowledge of test design techniques. Understanding of testing against functional requirements of software in both formal (TCs) and exploratory testing, providing results and reviewing others' test design. Advanced knowledge of test environment setup. Automation coding skills and/or good test case implementation in at least one layer with the capability of maintaining scalable test infrastructure, including configuration control, branching strategies, frameworks/tools, pipelines, and continuous testing practices. Communicate with different teams to resolve technical dependencies during implementation. Capable of adhering to an automated testing strategy and providing innovative ideas. Experience in software medical devices development that follows ISO 13485 is a plus.
