Job Description - Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (PCBA manufacturing) (009581) The Role: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (PCBA manufacturing) Overview: The primary objective of this function is to ensure that APC by Schneider Electric products meet the quality requirements of our customers. The position is also responsible for managing the Corrective and Preventative Action system and Process Audit compliance procedures and schedules. Leads the manufacturing support cross-functional team (Manufacturing Engineering (ME), Platform Engineering (PE), Manufacturing Operators, Automatic Insertion (AI), and Test Engineering (TE)) in analyzing and formulating containment and corrective action reports for all customer complaints promptly. This position will develop methods and protocols to ensure the appropriate quality inspections/or tests are being conducted, regularly reviewed, and improved if needed.
What will you do? ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Leads the manufacturing team in formatting and implementing proactive and preventive quality measures to ensure products conform to customers' requirements.Leads the manufacturing support cross-functional team (ME, PE, Mfg., AI, TE) in analyzing, conducting Failure Analysis, and formulating containment and corrective action reports for all customer complaints.Communicate customer claim corrective action reports with various Product Management groups and Customers on a regular and timely basis until the closure of issue(s).Review daily Out of the Box inspection (OOB) results and in Process audit results and lead the manufacturing team in the Corrective Action formulation whenever nonconformities are found.Review Weekly Quality meetings with manufacturing and another support team.Issuance and Monitoring of NCR in the production line and ensure proper escalation process is working.Implementation of existing Quality Control (QC) Procedures (i.e. Torque, Escalation, Hi-pot, CPAR, In-process & testing, In-process inspection, OOB inspection, First Article Inspection, and others).Leads the Process Control Plan (PCP) cross-functional team on every factory in formulating, reviewing, and implementing Process Control Plans on all new product introductions.Ensures that all machines and equipment used in the OOB bench and other inspection areas are in good operational conditions.Evaluate the effectiveness of all corrective actions in the line and monitor the consistency of implementation.Leads his/her immediate and other Mfg. Team in creating Continuous Improvement Projects Supervisory.Prepares and communicates strategic short and long-term goals for In-Process Quality Audit (IPQA) and Out of Box Technicians.Planning/arranging of Weekly schedule for IPQA inspector. Includes updating of Kronos Timekeeping records.Conducts daily and weekly directional communication meetings with the IPQA Team.Conducts regular (monthly and annual) performance reviews for each individual team member (IPQA).Analyze manpower requirements vis-à-vis the amount of workload.Oversees and coaches subordinates to perform at their optimum level.Train subordinates on all QC/QA related skills and knowledge.Coach and counsel Operators, Continuous Improvement Leaders, QA Technicians whose quality performance falls below agreed standards.Train new employees on matters related to quality standards.Takes any necessary actions to ensure that a product or service will satisfy customer requirements and is the driving force in implementing continuous quality improvement.SECONDARY FUNCTIONS Prepare weekly accomplishment reports and other quality-related reports as needed.Support the SQE (Supplier Quality Engineering) team in evaluating parts/vendor-related issues and monitoring vendor corrective action effectiveness.Support other company initiatives and projects with direct or indirect impact on quality (i.e., FMEA, SPC, CIP, and others).Supports New Product Development Activities.Review yield and Defect per unit (DPU) improvement actions and monitor effectiveness.Performs other related tasks assigned from time to time.Who would be successful? Must be a Graduate of Engineering course or equivalent years of industry-related experience and acquired training.With more than 7 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing of any electronics company in the same capacity or related field.Must be knowledgeable in various QC tools.Must be knowledgeable in various Problem-solving Methodologies.Strong analytical and decision-making skills.Must know international standards, like ANSI, APQP ASTM, UL, CSA.Must be computer literate.Must have good written and verbal communication skills.Knowledgeable in SPC, FMEA, and Process Control Plan implementation.Strong Leadership and "Teamwork" skills.Manufacturing Quality Assurance work includes: Defining and specifying activities, processes, and standards to fulfill the quality requirements for manufactured materials, components, or products.Building and maintaining the infrastructure and systems necessary to consistently ensure the timely delivery of quality products.Auditing, monitoring, and determining the quality of manufacturing processes and/or outputs against defined internal and regulatory standards.Reporting and troubleshooting manufacturing process deviations and defects in finished goods.Amenable to work in: Rosario, Cavite Working arrangements: Full-time onsite reporting.
