Your Role: As a Quality Assurance (QA) Tester, you will:
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to verify software functionality.
Perform manual and automated testing to identify defects and ensure software meets quality standards.
Collaborate with the development team and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of bug fixes.
Document test results, track defects, and provide feedback to improve overall product quality.
Create User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test scripts and assist in the UAT Testing Phase.
Coordinate and lead bug triage activities between the Tech team, external vendors, and business stakeholders.
Work with the Quality Assurance Manager or Team Lead to create overall Test Strategy for key projects.
Collaborate with the Project Manager to highlight key risks that may impact delivery.
Follow and ensure Test Governance processes are applied.
Assist in BAU (Business As Usual) ad hoc regression testing before production releases, on a case-to-case basis.
Create regression testing protocols for existing applications to monitor production and release cycles.
Provide monthly timesheets with work and task breakdowns.
Generate test reports for review during monthly or sprint reporting.
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies like Sprint Planning, Estimation, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives, workshops, and daily scrums.
What You Need: Non-negotiables:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance and software testing methodologies.
Proficiency in using QA tools and software testing frameworks.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
Preferred skills/expertise/experience:
Experience with agile and/or scrum methodologies.
Familiarity with insurance industry concepts and systems.
