Senior Product Owner (Technical) Mid Shift The Opportunity Manulife is seeking an individual who loves to motivate teams to achieve a product vision, is comfortable with business object modeling best practices, knowledgeable about cloud computing, and can translate requirements from multiple sources into one central prioritized backlog.

You obsess about customers, listen, engage, and act for their benefit.You think big, with curiosity to discover ways to use your agile mindset and enable business outcomes.You thrive in teams and enjoy getting things done together.You take ownership and build solutions, focusing on what matters.You do what is right, work with integrity, and speak up.You share your humanity, helping us build a diverse and inclusive work environment for everyone.We are looking for someone with: BA or BSc in a technical discipline (computer science, engineering, IT).Experience in data architecture, data modeling, and service-based architecture.Firm knowledge of JIRA and Confluence.Experience working in a related field.An entrepreneurial spirit and comfort working in a rapidly changing environment.Analytical ability to think strategically and creatively; able to design roadmaps.Create well-designed and thought-out Jira Stories, Epics, and Tasks that define scope and definition of done.Experience experimenting with emerging technologies and understanding their impact.A capacity for constant learning from both success and failure, remaining open to change and continuous improvement.Good organizational and problem-solving abilities that enable you to manage through creative abrasion.Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively articulate and communicate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes.Ability to partner well with other squads while tactfully protecting their squad from distractions.On the job you will: Own the product backlog and feature prioritization process.Work with software development teams to define hypotheses, run experiments (surveys, concept testing, analytics tools, A/B testing), and analyze data to make decisions on features that influence the direction of the product.Lead agile teams to ensure that value is delivered to users through appropriate epics.Drive the product strategy, planning, and delivery of key capabilities for the product.Act as the voice of the customer in the definition of the product; incorporate feedback from customer interviews and user research.Lead the ideation, design, and planning of the product; monitor and report on product KPIs.Proactively remove obstacles impacting the success of sprints; manage key dependencies.Work with strategic design to understand user personas, pain points, and journeys.Provide insights into product, technology, and market trends.Define roadmaps and detailed user stories, and partner with engineering masters to enable delivery of prioritized features.Collaborate with engineers & leadership to uncover pain points and opportunities to accelerate the delivery of new value through software.Manage communication and delivery between design & engineering teams.Specify and effectively communicate requirements for current and future products.Our commitment to you Our mission is to be a part of making Decisions Easier and Lives Better.A leadership team dedicated to your growth and success.A bold ambition and set of goals to be a leader in driving transformation in our industry.Our best.
