Job Description
As a member of the the Infrastructure Shared Services , the Senior Network engineer will assure a determining role in the design and implementation of network solutions in EssilorLuxottca.
The Senior Network Engineer will be highly involved in modernising sites (WAN, LAN, Wifi, Firewall…).
His/Her mission will be to actively participate to the deployment of the new links, technology on all sites as well as the technical migration, testing and go-live adoption (incl. GNOC support) with the selected operator(s).
He/She will provide technical operations related to migrations, hence technical expertise is required. He/She will provide assistance in the transfer to Support team.
The Senior Network Achitect will be also the senior escalation point for technical issues, will contribute to life cycle management on existing solutions and to qualification/validation of new solutions.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform new and current design assessment with the customer and business requirements into a network solutionDesign standard sets of LAN and WAN Models with High Level Design (HLD) and Low Level Design (LLD)Installation of the equipments with setup in coordination with the operator(s) and local teamsParticipate to all the required tests such as failover, validate internet breakout, functionality of existing network devices such as firewall and optimization toolsLead Network Fault and Incident Management as needed for Escalations of critical network outages and complex network issuesPro-active in ensuring stability, response time, operational consistency and life cycle over the network, while providing monthly reports on activity, quality and performance of this networkEnsure appropriate documentation, including procedures and SOPsHandover to support team
