Network Monitoring: Monitoring network performance and activity to ensure optimal uptime, performance, and security. This may involve using specialized network monitoring tools such as PRTG or SIEM to detect and troubleshoot issues. Security Management: Implementing and maintaining network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, malware, and other security threats. This includes configuring firewalls, implementing access controls, and staying updated on security best practices. User Support: Providing level 2 to 3 technical support to end-users experiencing network-related issues. This may involve troubleshooting connectivity problems, assisting with configuration settings, and addressing user concerns. Backup and Recovery: Implementing and managing data backup and recovery solutions to ensure the integrity and availability of critical network resources in the event of data loss or system failure. Network Documentation: Maintaining detailed documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures to facilitate efficient troubleshooting, knowledge transfer, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Capacity Planning: Assessing current and future network requirements to anticipate capacity needs and scalability requirements. This may involve upgrading hardware, optimizing network performance, and planning for expansion. Vendor Management: Interacting with network equipment vendors, service providers, and contractors to procure hardware, software, and services, as well as to troubleshoot issues and coordinate support activities. Policy Enforcement: Enforcing network usage policies and guidelines to ensure compliance with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Continual Learning: Staying informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in network administration to continually enhance skills and expertise. Mentor junior team members regarding network administration and infrastructure. What ClearSource Needs from You With at least 4 years minimum relevant experience Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or any related field. Proven experience as a senior network administrator with expertise in managing multiple sites. In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, technologies, and topologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP). Hands-on experience with network equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Fortinet, Unify UDM and Sophos. Experience with cloud networking technologies, such as AWS VPC or Azure Virtual Network. Familiarity with network automation and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell). Knowledge of virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V. Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices. Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+.
