Responsibilities
• Develop and implement patching strategies for Unix systems• Execute timely and efficient patching activities• Coordinate with other teams to schedule patching activities• Stay abreast of security vulnerabilities and assess their impact• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices• Conduct security audits and assessments related to patching• Investigate and resolve issues related to patching• Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve Unix-related problems• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation• Create and update knowledge base articles
Requirements
• In-depth knowledge of Unix operating systems• Experience with patch management tools and methodologies• Familiarity with scripting languages for automation• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities• Team spirit and ability to work autonomously• Industry certifications such as RHCE or LPIC preferred• Familiarity with configuration management tools• Experience working in high-security and compliance environments• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field• Proven experience as a Unix Engineer with a focus on patch management
