Senior Laboratory Technician

QUALIFICATIONS:1.Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)/ Civil Engineering Technology (CET) or equivalent.2.A combination of experience, education, and training equivalent to BSCE/CET.3.Ability to independently plan and organize one's own activities.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES1.Performs and computes routine laboratory test on Soil and Aggregate Testing (Sieve analysis, Materials finer than No. 200 sieve, Abrasion, Soundness, Specific Gravity, Unit Weight, Organic Impurities, CBR, Compaction, Sand Equivalent, Atterberg Limit, Particle Size Analysis, Moisture Density Test, Abrasion, Unit Weight, CBR, Specific Gravity and Absorption)2.Assist in Performing Field Density Test from time to time.3.Responsible for proper handling and storage of test samples and disposal of tested sample.4.Ensures that incoming samples are in good condition or complies with the standard specification as needed.5.Responsible for verification and monitoring, proper usage and storage of all equipment and supplies needed for testing.6.Responsible for all test results done at the section.7.Responsible for orderliness, cleanliness and securing the soil-aggregate area.8.Performs all duties of Officer of the Week whenever designated.9.Performs all other tasks and functions that may be assigned.10.Evaluate and checks accuracy of final test result.11.Identify risks and/or reporting risks to the highest ranking technician on the department. May also conduct risk assessment under the supervision of the highest ranking personnel on the department.12.Compute and submit the test result to Section Head then to Laboratory Manager for checking.
