Wood is currently sourcing for a Senior Instrument Engineer with strong brownfield oil & gas EPC experience to join our team in the Philippines.
Contributes to the delivery of Engineering excellence through:
Actively participates in Competency and TrainingProviding discipline expertise to the businessExecuting assigned scopes of workSupporting task delegation to team
Delivering against contract Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and business objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES People: Provides coaching, training, and mentoring as delegated Process Ownership: Adherence to the discipline specific procedures and providing feedback for continuous improvementSupport the development and delivery of the technical safety standard expectations and technical assuranceParticipate in audits & incident investigations as requiredRepresent Operations Wood Philippines discipline in the contractActively maintaining own competence and continuous development Subject Matter Expertise: Technically competent in instrumentation and control and actively maintains own competence according to standards and pursues continuous professional developmentProvide discipline support to the businessEnsure self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments and promote to direct reportsProvide discipline input to scope definition and execution General: Executing assigned personal objectivesInteract with Multi-Discipline Engineering Teams QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Engineering and PRC licensed (BSECE, BSEE, BSChE, BSI&CE)Preferably Chartered Engineer or recognized equivalent5+ years' industrial engineering experience in process plant instrumentation fieldHands on experience of multi-disciplinary projects in Concept, FEED and Detail Engineering of field Instrumentation, Control & Monitoring and Safety Shutdown Systems, including DCS, ESD and F&G, in the onshore / offshore O&G, petrochemical, energy environmentWorking knowledge of IEC, ISO, ISA, API, ANSI and other International Codes and Standards Knowledge, skills, and experience: Minimum Experience: Demonstrable balance of industrial and management experience at relevant level and positionShould have hands on experience in SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI)Working knowledge of AVEVA instrumentation and SP3D/E3D preferredProficient in using Microsoft Office Suite Role-Specific Skills: Intellectually capable, can substantiate the ability to apply theory in a practical contextCapable use of discipline software and proactively encourage developmentProfessional demeanor, strong interpersonal skillsAble to demonstrate team working skillsEnthusiastic, conscientious, and keen to learnFlexible with a can-do attitudePreparation of Instrumentation engineering deliverables including Specifications, Instrument Datasheets, Logic Diagrams, etc.Carry out sizing calculations for Control Valves, Flow Meters, Pneumatic & Hydraulic Power SystemsInstrument cable voltage drop & Intrinsically Safe Circuit CalculationsPreparation of Fire & Gas Detectors & Alarm Device DatasheetsProvide inputs and review of engineering drawings including Instrument Location Plans, Cable & JB Schedules, Cable Routing Layouts, Instrument Installation Details, Process / Pneumatic Hook-Ups, Interconnection Diagrams, Loop Diagrams, Fieldbus Segment Diagrams, Instrument Loop Diagrams, etc.Review Instrumentation and Control Systems Vendors offers, prepare Vendor Technical Clarifications, and prepare Technical Bid Evaluation reports ABOUT US
