Senior Geologist (Copper & Gold Mining)

Collaborate with mine planning engineers with regards to drilling schedules and activitiesResponsible for QAQC of drill holes—collar pick up, downhole surveyMaintain an auditable drill holes, ore production, and stockpile accounting databaseMaintain an auditable database of sampling information and assay results.Perform geologic core logManage the core processing activities such as Magsus, PXRF, Terra spec and core photo activities and daily core sample dispatchManage project work for XRF, Clay mineral analysis, and alteration mappingWork with Survey team on the reconciliation of stockpile balances to volume surveysConduct variance study on all production data, develop action plan for variances that can be addressedPrepare reports that reconcile mineral resource estimates with grade control estimates and mill production estimatesIdentify sources of reconciliation variances and propose action plans for communication to concerned partiesCommunicate with underground mine operations, surface operations and survey team with regards to reconciliation and variancesMonitor subordinates in their performance and direct their activities as necessary to ensure project requirements are achievedActively look for opportunities to implement cost savings without effecting safety, schedule or quality.
