Position: Senior Financial Analyst (Broad knowledge of Financial Modelling)
Job Description:
A Senior Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in analyzing financial data, providing insights,
and supporting strategic decision-making within an organization. The role typically involves
working with financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and conducting financial analysis to
guide business decisions. The Senior FA collaborates with various departments to assess
financial performance, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement.
Objectives:
• Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data to identify trends,
variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and analysis of
budgets and forecasts to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Reporting: Generate accurate and timely financial reports for management, highlighting
key performance indicators and financial metrics.
• Decision Support: Provide support to management by offering financial insights and
recommendations to aid in strategic decision-making.
• Risk Management: Assess and mitigate financial risks by identifying potential issues
and proposing risk mitigation strategies.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and
enhance efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting,
forecasting, and decision-making processes.
• Variance Analysis: Analyze and explain variances between actual financial results and
budget/forecast, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Data Compilation: Collect, organize, and validate financial data from various sources to
ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Ad-hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support special projects or
management inquiries.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including accounting,
operations, and management, to gather information and provide financial insights.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, standards, and
internal policies.
• Communication: Present financial information and analysis in a clear and concise
manner to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus.
• Experience: Previous experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or related roles.
Experience in the industry or sector of the hiring company is advantageous.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret
complex financial data.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in financial modeling, Excel, and financial
management software. Knowledge of ERP systems is desirable.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively
convey financial insights to various stakeholders.
• Team Player: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and work effectively in a
