Summary: Reporting to the GBC Controller, this position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Finance & Accounting and Accounts Payable teams. Ensures that all reports and critical deliverables are completed in a timely manner. Provides guidance on finance and accounting related matters. Reviews and updates related policies and procedures. Introduce productivity, KPIs and metrics to measure and understand performance. Extends assistance on Compliance and Financial Planning teams on data and reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for month-end close completion, reporting, reconciliation and attestation for both GBC entities.
2. Provide analysis on month-on-month and year-to-date actuals, ensuring alignment with Budget and/or quarterly Forecast.
3. Review AP vouchers and disbursements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness are achieved in all processes
4. Provide support to and manage timely and effective audits.
5. Identify and implement process improvements, metrics and KPIs to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the processes owned.
6. Manage and ensure compliance on accounting policies, standards, and controls.
7. People management tasks such as coaching, mentoring, performance reviews, and day to day guidance to the direct and indirect reports.
