Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Estimator to evaluate project specifications and prepare competitive quotes for residential and commercial painting services. In this role, you will accurately estimate labor, materials, and time costs while providing timely written estimates and engaging with clients to address questions and close deals. Collaborating with project managers, maintaining organized records in our CRM, and building strong client relationships will be key to fostering repeat business and referrals.

Job Responsibilities: Evaluate project specifications, drawings, and requirements to prepare comprehensive and competitive quotes for painting services.Accurately estimate labor, material, and time costs for residential and commercial projects.Provide detailed and timely written estimates to clients, including any required follow-up communication.Collaborate with project managers and field staff to ensure estimates align with project capabilities.Engage in proactive follow-up with potential clients regarding quotes submitted, answering questions, and addressing concerns to close deal.Maintain up-to-date records of estimates and follow-up actions in company CRM or other tracking system.Assist in project handover to ensure all key information is transferred effectively to the operations team.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster repeat business and referrals.Requirements
Bachelor's degree in civil engineeringProven experience as an Estimator, with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experienceIn-depth knowledge of 3-5yrs experience and understanding of Civil Engineering and Building laws in AustraliaProficiency in estimating software and toolsStrong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documentsExcellent mathematical skills and proficiency in cost analysis, budgeting, and financial modelingEffective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholdersAbility to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting tight deadlinesFamiliarity with tendering processes, contract administration, and project management principles
