Canon Business Machines (Philippines), Inc. (CBMP) is a 100%-owned subsidiary of Canon, Inc. of Japan. This facility, which sits on a 33-hectare land area, manufactures laser beam printers that are shipped 100% for export to Canon customers worldwide. CBMP is a PEZA export enterprise located at First Philippine Industrial Park in Tanauan City, Batangas. Since starting commercial operations in 2013, the company has gradually expanded its scope of operations, accommodating the manufacture of new printer models of Canon and HP brands. In 2018, the company employed a strong workforce of 4,300 and has consistently received outstanding investor awards from PEZA for its contributions to the environment and the local community.
Job Description Design and develop jigs and automation equipment tailored to production needs.
Implement jigs and automation systems for new product launches, ensuring that all designs meet quality standards and production requirements.
Investigate and troubleshoot issues related to jigs and automation equipment, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Perform preventive maintenance (PM) checks and support routine maintenance activities to ensure high equipment availability.
Evaluate and optimize manufacturing processes for increased efficiency and reduced costs.
Lead production process audits and contribute to process enhancement strategies.
Identify and implement operational improvements in production workflows.
Manage, mentor, and guide a team of subordinates, providing support for day-to-day operations and project execution.
Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment, promoting teamwork and knowledge-sharing across departments.
Oversee the quality control of mass production jigs and equipment to ensure consistent output.
Maintain compliance with ISO/QMS standards, ensuring that manufacturing processes align with industry best practices.
Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth production line support and address any operational challenges related to jigs and automation equipment.
Job Qualifications Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering within a manufacturing company.
Professional Engineer license is an advantage but not required.
Proficient in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for designing jigs, automation machines, and equipment.
Proven track record of designing, building, and implementing jigs or automation systems.
Able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to manufacturing equipment.
Familiar with ISO/QMS standards and experience working within compliance frameworks.
Experience in managing and guiding subordinates, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams.
