Job Description
Develops and executes content strategy and plan aligned to the business' internal and external objectives. Produces content to support thought leadership, pre-positioning for proposals, campaigns, services, product and events. Content creation may be in the form of blogs, articles, reports, case studies, videos, website text, podcasts or infographics - both digital and when relevant, in print. Manages content calendars and timelines to achieve required deadlines.
Understands AECOM's organization, client base and strategic priorities. Establishes relationships with key stakeholders within AECOM.Grows knowledge of content development techniques and best practices by attending industry events, seminars and networking opportunities.Synthesize technical information, translate it into plain language, and add marketing flair to project summaries, resumes, methodologies, executive summaries, and other technical bid sections or attachments with minimal supervisionDevelops and implements content plans and campaigns relating to specific proposals, business lines or market sectors using a range of channels and tactics.Continues to grow knowledge of how to develop content optimized for the web, podcast, emails, intranets and proposals.Is skilled in the production of content across a range of formats such as social media, brochures, infographics, blogs, reports, articles and podcasts.Performs work in accordance with agreed objectives, budget and timescale with little/no supervision.Analyzes and reports performance of content and may make recommendations for action.Proposes ideas and possible approaches to achieve business/campaign objectives and sees content production through to implementation and delivery.Assist in other ad hoc communication tasks requiring developmental editorial supportMentor colleagues in applying the company's best practices in copywriting or corporate correspondences to maintain a professional standard in all AECOM communications as an ambassador of the company's brand voiceDevelop relationships with external stakeholders (social media reps / agencies) to stay informed of new trends, metrics and benchmarks.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements: Candidates must be open for midshift or night shift schedule (3pm to 12mn / 9pm to 6am)Candidates must be open to a hybrid setup (AECOM's Freedom to Grow Initiative).5+ years' experience in editing or 5+ years' experience in a writing-intensive roleExperience in developmental editing, line editing, and copyeditingHas editorial judgment, critical thinking, and research skillsKnowledge and ability to apply the Associated Press (AP) styleExperience in journalism, marketing, public relations, advertising or public information, or other communication-related field.Attributes: Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate within a specific group of internal and external customers.
