ASSIGNMENT: Technology Transfer and Business Development OfficeROLE: A Business Development Manager is focused, organized, and has strong leadership, communication and management skills. The candidate should be able to think critically when managing marketing, business development and technology transfer activities.QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management or equivalent fields3-4 years relevant experience24 hours of relevant trainingJOB DESCRIPTION: Takes the lead in guiding the Technology Licensing and Business Development team to reach their targets and goalsManages the activities of the Junior Technology Management Associates in the preliminary research on competitive technologies and assesses invention's commercialization/utilization potentialOversees the commercialization/utilization aspects of the inventions by coaching the Junior Technology Management in conducting financial and market analyses for specific inventions, market studies, market research reports and marketing of UP Manila's technology/inventionsProvides inputs in finding potential partners and in organizing Technology Marketing Events/RoadshowsProvides inputs for strategies relating to marketing, sales, licensing, negotiating, business model generation, business plans and contract assessment for UP Manila technologies and university spin-offs/start-upsTakes the lead in the negotiation and evaluation of licensing agreements and other types of agreementsAssists in executing a licensing or research service agreements between the university and the industry partner/sBuilds network of potential industry partners and acts as liaison between the University and external partnersPrepares reports for both technical and administrative regarding the progress of commercialization of UPM technologiesManages personnel development in terms of business, financial, and commercialization competenciesManages the financial aspects in the commercialization of the intellectual property assets of the UniversityLeads in the conduct of trainings on business development and commercializationAPPLICATION REQUIREMENTS: Updated Resume/Curriculum Vitae/Personnel Data SheetCover letterSUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION TO: Addressed to: Lourdes Marie S.
