QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Naval Architecture and Maritime Engineering;
With at least 3 years experience in the maritime industry;
Must be knowledgeable on the current industry standards and regulations and maritime software tools;
Must have experience and expertise in ship structural design, hydrodynamics and vessel performance;
With experience in policy making and implementation as well as quality management systems;
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Must be proactive and can efficiently work with a team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with software engineers to design and enhance maritime software tools for, performance prediction.
Apply principles of naval architecture to help develop algorithms and models used for ship design and operation.
Assist in the development of simulation software that models hydrodynamic performance, stability analysis.
Work with cross-functional teams to define requirements, specifications, and user stories related to maritime software solutions.
Review and validate the technical accuracy of software outputs to ensure alignment with industry standards and regulations (e.g., SOLAS,
IMO, and classification societies).
Provide expertise in ship structural design, hydrodynamics, and vessel performance to enhance product features and capabilities.
Contribute to the development of tools that optimize vessel efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and improve safety.
Stay current with trends and innovations in naval architecture and maritime regulations, ensuring the software remains compliant and
cutting-edge.
Work with the quality assurance team to test software and identify potential improvements or bugs.
Support customer-facing teams by offering technical expertise to ensure clients receive the best possible service.
Be the lead person in ensuring the product meet all current and forthcoming environmental regulations.
